Are you looking for a convenient way to replace missing rows of teeth? Our clinic, Tropic Dental, offers the best solution to all your dental problems with the help of our highly trained staff along with a team of certified and experienced dentists. One of the services that we offer as a solution to this type of problem is with the use of dentures

Dentures are false teeth that you can easily place and remove from your mouth. Our highly trained staff will craft the best quality dentures that not only look natural but are also incredibly comfortable to wear. We offer two types of dentures: partial and full. You do not need to worry about choosing, as our dentist will make the evaluation to determine which type is best suited for your needs.

Choosing the Right Denture

For those who are scheduled for tooth removal, the dentist might advise you to get a denture depending on the number of teeth that need to be extracted. During these instances, our dentist highly recommends that clients get a temporary denture. Temporary dentures are designed to be worn for a few months after tooth extraction. This will help during the healing period, as the remaining teeth will not need to be subjected to more pressure when biting or chewing food.

Preparing the temporary denture is quite simple compared to the creation of the permanent denture. Our client will be required to come by the clinic a couple of times before the scheduled tooth removal operation to prepare the temporary denture.

There is also the permanent denture. This procedure will take about three to six weeks to complete. The first step will be for our dentist to take impressions of the jaw with the use of a mold. This will accurately measure the correct size of the denture to be made.

Next, our patient will be given a temporary denture made from wax or plastic. This is to check the measurement and see if there is any need for re-adjustments before creating the permanent denture mold. Our dentist highly recommends that patients wear the dentures 24/7 during the first month or so to find out if any tweaks are still necessary. Once everything is set, you can remove the dentures at night from then on.

Complete and Partial Dentures

Our clinic is highly capable of crafting both complete (full) and partial dentures for our patients. A complete denture is comprised of not only the false teeth but also a thin acrylic base that has the same shade of color as the gum. This gives a more natural appearance as the false porcelain teeth seem to be growing out of the acrylic gums.

The partial dentures, on the other hand, use a thin metallic framework that is designed to be non-obtrusive when worn. This is a more economical alternative to the complete denture. The metal framework will be supported by your natural teeth, and it will be designed to be as close to the gums as possible without causing any sort of discomfort.

We aim to provide the most comfortable transition to our clients who will be using dentures. Dentures will take some time to get used to, which is why our specialists will be guiding you throughout the procedure to ensure that everything is in order.
